Medium pizzas vary in size depending on the restaurant or pizzeria, or even the country that you live in; however a typical store bought medium pizza is cut into about eight slices. Most of the popular pizza chains such as Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s and Hungry Howie’s carry eight slices in their medium pizzas.
On the other hand, however, there are a few restaurants that have different slice counts. For example, Chuck E. Cheese’s medium pizza carries 10 slices. As such, a customer’s best bet is to inquire at the pizzeria in question to find out the slice count it carries in its medium pizza.
While restaurant bought medium pizzas usually have eight to ten slices, homemade microwave pizzas tend to be smaller in size but more thick and filling. Well-known brands such as Chef Boyardee Pizza and DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza will carry between six and eight slices.
As such, if you happen to be planning a party or other big event, especially if pizza will be the main course, remember to contact the restaurant before purchasing to confirm the number of slices that you will be getting.
