What Does The TV-14 Rating Mean?
The TV-14 rating means that the show is unsuitable for children under the age of 14. Programming with this rating will often have content that contains highly suggestive dialogue (D), strong coarse language (L), intense situations of a sexual nature (S), or intense violence (V). Parents are strongly cautioned to take care when allowing their children to watch shows with this rating.

- Example of Suggestive Dialogue(D): A man makes a crude joke about a woman’s body.
- Example of Coarse Language (L): Someone calling another person a$$hole multiple times.
- Example of Sexual Situations (S): A couple who are in bed, with the intention of them having sex.

Is TV 14 The Same as PG13?
Some of you may be wondering if there is difference between TV-14 vs PG-13? There is actually. One is a rating for television shows, while the other is for movies.
- TV-14 is a TV show rating and this is done by the cable network, broadcast network or the streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu & Disney+.
- PG-13 is a movie rating and this is done by the Motion Picture Association of America.
Because the criteria for each one is different, but they are generally in line with each other. TV-14 is limited to 14 and younger, while PG-13 is limited to 13 and younger.
