Oatmeal is an excellent breakfast food as it is one of the healthiest options. Oatmeal is known to help reduce your bad cholesterol, as well as help preventing heart disease.

Even though it is so good for the body, a lot of people stay away from oatmeal, simply because of the taste. Kids say it tastes yucky, while adults look at it with disgust. These reactions are due to the fact that they are probably eating bland oatmeal that was not done properly.

This really makes a different to the oatmeal and you can really give it a go to see what fruits or fruit combinations will work best for you.

You can also try mixing in different nuts into your oatmeal. Why not try putting almonds, pistachios, peanuts and other nuts into your bowl. It not only gives it a really good taste, but you get a nice crunch when you are eating.
